REVIEW-
The first thing that strikes in mind when someone comes across this movie is the peculiar name of it. Seven there are various things which comes in the mind of the audience like seven stories or seven characters or may be seven killers.
Although in reality the basic theme of the movie are the seven deadly SINS of human life.

The seven sins which are showcased before the audience are as follows :
1.Gluttony- a situation in which people eat and drink more than they need to.In the movie the first killing that occurs is that of a obsessive fat man. He portrays Gluttony.

2.Greed- intense and selfish desire for something specially food, wealth, and power.The second murder that occurs is that of a Criminal Lawyer (Elli Gould) who had a greed for wealth.

3.Sloth- reluctance to work or make an effort laziness.The third incident that occurs is that of victor or theoder allen he had drugs armed robbery and assault he represented sloth.

4.Lust- strong sexual desire.The fourth murder is that of a prostitute who represents lust.

5.Pride- a feeling of deep satisfaction derived from ones own achievement. In the movie the fifth victim is a woman named (Rachel Shade) who potrays pride as she prides herself for her beauty.

6.Envy- desire to have a quality, possession, or other desirable thing belonging to someone else. The so called villain in the movie (John Doe) has envy on Mills well settled life as he confesses it in the last scene.

7.Wrath- extreme anger. Detective Mills portrays wrath when he kills (John Doe) out of anger for killing his wife.

Analysis:
The director of the movie David Fincher portrays a shallow and mundane atmosphere from the very beginning. The rainy and cloudy weather portrays that.
Moreover he shows the disappointment in the life of the leading characters (Dec Mills and Dec Somerset) First of all he shows the unwantedness of detective Somerset to lead his life as a cop.Somerset just wants to leave that place or city of havvock. That's why when the
Taxi Driver asks : Where are we heading?
Somerset replies :

This proves how much he hated all those murders and same old crimes.
Although at first detective Mills life appears to be pretty joyous and happy.But both Mills and his wife Tracy are tired of changing there house frequently. Moreover Mills is always busy with his work so he is unable to spent time with his wife.
Such less conversation occurs between Mills and his wife that Tracy is even unable to inform Mills about her pregnancy.She also fears that the so called Cop life of Mills would effect her upcoming child's life.Thus she feels to have an experienced adviser in the form of Somerset.

Thus from an overview we can say that buy showcasing various sins and genius crimes and the hardships in the life of the leading characters. The director Mr. Fincher wants to tell us that life is full of hardships difficulties and troubles. Still he conveys a strong message of hope that no matter how many problems comes in life , life shouldn't end it must go one.
Thus inspite of the hardships and same old crimes when the
Police Captain asks : Where are you going to be ?
Somerset replies :

Thus the movie ends on a hopeful note where

Before concluding there is big question that must arise in the minds of the audience was there really the "pretty head" of Mills wife "Tracy" or was there some thing else as what was inside the "BOX" has not been shown. A little suspense for the audience to cherish with.
